Network to Code bridges the gap between DevOps and Network Engineering. We are a pioneer in the network automation industry. As an Associate Network Automation Engineer (ANAE) you will be part of our Managed Services team, which is a critical piece of Network to Code’s core services. You will be on a highly skilled and passionate team of Network Automation and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), delivering Network to Code’s industry leading network automation support.
A day in the life
Working together with your teammates (SREs and NAEs), you will be the frontline for Network to Code’s network automation Support and Managed Services. A Standard Day in the Life of an ANAE: Watch the ticketing system, verify that you understand client requests, and act on them Acknowledge and respond to client requests within the times defined by their Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Perform changes in Nautobot, make additions to an Ansible playbook, submit an issue to an Open Source library Escalate as needed to Network Automation Engineers or Architects who will share what they know with you, and equip you for success Communicate with clients directly via the ticketing system or via email/chat/video as the situation requires Take advantage of your dedicated personal development time to check out the latest internal Knowledge Share/Network to Code blog or learn something else entirely Post pictures of your pets in #office-managers, and then look for dinner inspiration in #foodies Work in the IDE of your choice, on the OS of your choice, to eradicate a bug in an Open Source Python library and submit a Pull Request to that repository
What you bring
Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently to ensure minimal downtime. Continuous improvement mindset: Actively looks for opportunities to optimize workflows, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and reduce operational friction. Proactive incident management: Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential issues and take preventative actions, as well as lead the resolution of incidents when they arise Time management and prioritization: Demonstrates strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Adaptability in fast-changing environments: Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot quickly when operational needs change or new tools and technologies are introduced.
What you have
Basic comfort and familiarity with modern network automation (Do you know what to do with at least one of Ansible, Python, or Go?) Exposure and comfort with basic Linux system administration tasks (Does the phrase “Grep the logs” mean anything to you?) Ability to communicate accurately and concisely about complex technical topics (Can you explain what a for loop is to a five year old?)
