A Senior Architect is a network automation consultant who drives organization-wide baseline standards for “the NTC way” for Network Automation Architecture and Solutions in partnership with the technical community. They have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate highly technical concepts in order to be clearly understood by customers and technical peers alike.
A day in the life
Develops the reusable tooling that empowers the solutions that Network to Code brings to their customers
Translate manual workflows into high-level and advises on low-level designs
Builds and documents the Network to Code architecture and associated training material
Advises the technical delivery teams on network automation architecture
Connect the business needs of the client(s) with technical delivery plan(s); together with the Managing Consultants (MC), you will own the definition of the technical design to meet the objectives and requirements of the higher-level business needs of the customer(s)
Performs peer reviews, guidance, and contributes to best practices of code
Works with fellow Engineers and Managing Consultants to build automation designs, including developing a tech stack, developing proper levels of abstraction, and guidance on best practices
Leads customer calls with technical peers and articulate the pros and cons of a given solution in a consumable manner to executive leadership
Develops well-written technical documentation that documents solutions built for clients
Quickly adopts new technologies and continuously demonstrates technical excellence

What you have
Experience with in depth knowledge of full-stack architectures inclusive of ITSM (ServiceNow) Enterprise-driven workflows, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD deployment models, Enterprise Orchestration & Automation, Source of Truth, and knowing how open source can lead or compliment a given architecture.
Experience with the entire software development lifecycle.
Experience as CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge or deep technical IT knowledge.
Experience with Git for working in a collaborative environment.
Experience with developing tools, platforms, or applications for your organization.
Experience with a configuration management solution such as Ansible, Salt, and/or Python automating networking devices.
Familiar with making tool, platform, or application selections for your organization.
Familiar with CI/CD and how it could be applied to network automation, such as pytest, Robot Framework.
Familiar with concepts around data management including IaC and Source of Truth strategy.
Familiar with Python.
Familiar with a creating APIs, ideally using Flask/Django/FASTAPI.
Ideally in a customer-facing, consulting role.
Ideally familiar with tools and other network libraries such as Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Batfish.
