Accelerating Product Growth: Your leadership will define and drive the roadmap, ensuring that we build the right software and solutions at the right time to accelerate adoption and revenue growth.
Strengthening Customer Engagement: By owning Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) and engaging directly with customers, you will ensure our products solve real-world problems and exceed expectations.
Optimizing Pricing & Packaging: Your expertise in pricing and packaging strategy will be key in balancing revenue generation with customer value, helping us scale from open-source adoption to enterprise monetization.
Enhancing Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will align Engineering, Services, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure a cohesive product strategy, fostering strong internal relationships and driving execution efficiency.
Establishing Best-in-Class Product Processes: By implementing strong governance, prioritization frameworks, roadmap planning, and complete product development lifecycle, you will bring structure and scalability to our product management function, ensuring that we make data-driven, market-informed decisions.
Driving Innovation & Competitive Differentiation: Your ability to stay ahead of market trends and customer needs will ensure that our products remain differentiated, competitive, and at the forefront of the industry.
A day in the life
- Reviewing key product metrics, customer feedback, and any urgent engineering updates.
Align with Engineering leadership on sprint progress, roadmap priorities, and any blockers that need resolution. - Guide and empower engineering to scope, plan and deliver product work, applying established delivery methodologies and best practices.
- Meet and collaborate with key customers to gather direct feedback, validate product decisions, present roadmaps, and understand their evolving needs.
Facilitate the Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring strategic customers have a voice in shaping the product. - Creates and prioritizes product requirements and translates potential customer business outcomes into actionable product features.
Lead roadmap planning sessions, prioritizing features based on impact, feasibility, and business objectives. - Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, enablement materials, and go-to-market strategies for upcoming releases.
Define pricing and packaging strategies, working with Finance to model revenue impact and customer adoption. - Develop and refine governance processes, ensuring clear guidelines for feature requests, prioritization, and release management.
- Work with open-source contributors and community members to understand how to balance free and paid product offerings.
- Align with the Executive Team on product strategy, company goals, and key business milestones.
- Drive competitive analysis, staying ahead of industry trends and positioning the product effectively in the market.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across Engineering, UX, Support, and Customer Success to ensure smooth execution of product initiatives.
- Work with engineering to meet quality, deployability, and serviceability standards to ensure products can be delivered successfully to a customer.
- Review customer support tickets and feedback loops, identifying patterns that could inform product improvements.
- Participate in sprint demos and retrospectives, ensuring the team is building high-impact, customer-centric features.

- Ability to bridge technical and business needs, working seamlessly with Engineering, Services, Support, Sales, and Marketing.
- Customer-first mindset, ensuring that feedback and real-world use cases drive product decisions.
- Strong leadership as a player/coach, mentoring teams while staying hands-on in execution.
- Desire to create and refine product processes that bring structure without adding bureaucracy.
- Collaborative approach, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and success.
What you have
- 7-10+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on commercial software and SaaS.
- Proven experience with open-source business models, understanding how to balance free and paid offerings.
- Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills, with the ability to operate as a player/coach.
- Deep experience in pricing and packaging strategies, ensuring market competitiveness and revenue growth with a focus on pricing entry-points, multi-year agreements, margin expansion, and pricing power in future year renewals.
- Ability to work closely with Engineering teams, translating business needs into technical execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, driving alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering.
- Track record of running Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) and engaging directly with customers to influence product direction.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, with a bias for action and a structured approach to execution.
- Bonus if you have experience with network infrastructure or IT automation software
